Professional Development

About the Institute

Professional Development is at the core of the Garden State Employment and Training Association's mission to ensure that New Jersey's workforce development professionals are providing relevant and up to date career services to our job seekers and business customers. Our professional development efforts are conducted by nationally recognized trainers with decades of expertise in workforce development and centered in two types of efforts.

The first is the Training Institute for Professional Development's offerings both virtually and when appropriate with in person training.These occur several times a quarter and focus on technical skill development as well as customer interactions around career and business services. The second is through the programs and workshops at our annual Conference held in the Fall of each year, where programs and workshops are track focused in areas that include leadership, career services, youth services and services for special populations.
